While it is not technically necessary, we have added a natural emulsifier and a preservative to our sugar scrub. An emulsifier brings the oils in the scrub and water from your shower together to turn the the scrub into a lotion as the sugar dissolves. We use a natural, organic certified preservative in our scrub to prevent the growth of bacteria that may occur when water comes into contact with the product in its jar while it sits in the shower between uses.
 
To Use: Apply scrub to damp skin, rub in a circular motion until sugar dissolves, and rinse!
